All members are invited to join the HCAOA Virginia Chapter for an important virtual meeting on Friday, February 18, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. for an important update on the status of revisions to the Regulations for the Licensure of Home Care Organizations.
As HCAOA has reported, Office of Licensure and Certification of Health Care Facilities brought suggested before the Board of Health in December. Last fall, the Chapter formed a Licensure Work Group, which met with Kimberly Beazley, Director, and Ruthanne Risser, Deputy Director, to discuss the regulations and suggest revisions, in particular around the financial audit requirement, which, while it is not new, was not being enforced until it was added to the current renewal application. This would create a financial and administrative burden for home care agencies, who are working on building back their businesses following the COVID pandemic. Legislation has also been introduced to address this audit requirement.
Get all of the latest updates, as well as federal legislative and regulatory updates, and details about how you can get involved with the chapter.
This meeting is free for HCAOA members, and registration is required.
